Quality vs Quantity? Is it a good thing ?

Recently, while I'm reading sports forum on Daily Mail, I noticed a forum that quite catching my eyes. one of the locals ( Daily Mail is an English paper) express his anger and disappointment after he found out many trolls appeared about his favourite's football team transfer business. He fights back to those Scouse by  typing out this kind of comment :

"We only signs in quality not quantity." ( I think, since it was months ago so I can't really remember what he said)

Hmm......

That's was a good fight back. Haha.

what I was thinking : 

Is Quality important ? or Quantity ?

Yes, the more thing I have, the better. As you can't really rely on yourself to do whatever you want.

If you want to do something bigger ( for example : business again ?) , you can't really do it by your own, so , you need help from others, especially the more the better. It not just helping you to achieve your target more faster, but also you can learn a lesson for yourself as well.

But quantity doesn't make you success, sometimes it can become your liability. Quality, however, do.

Quality can make your better than having large quantity.

For example, you own a company, and you need workers, so you hired bunch of them, but all of them are either lazy or not efficient enough. Is that helping you turning out the business?

Some good quality workers can ensure your business function well, making your operating system become efficient and quality, which is a good thing.

So, for what I'm thinking, 

quality is obviously more important than quantity, as you can buy/own many things on whatever you want ,

but buy/owning things that are excellent in quality. That's precious , since you can't really buy ALL good quality stuffs on whatever you want.
